Summer is coming to an end and the schools are all open. As a result, there are quite a number of new listings this week in all the areas on the Westside. While viewing some of these new listings today on Broker’s Caravan, I had quite the flash-back experience. I went to view the newly-constructed home located a 1669 San Onofre Drive in Pacific Palisades. The home sits on a promenade at the top of the Upper Riviera area and is on the market with an asking price of almost $26 million dollars.
Now for the flash-back experience. I grew up in Pacific Palisades. I remember my parents house-hunting and looking at homes. One day, in late 1972, we went to go look at a home on San Onofre Drive. My father told us that former Governor Ronald Reagan lived on the street. My older brother, from the back seat of the car, remarked that the house we were considering must be the smallest house on the street. And he was right. J Today, forty-four years later, I found myself looking for that small home down the street from Reagan’s last home before becoming President.
