Last Wednesday there was a twilight open house for an estate property in Bel Air with an asking price of $188 million. It is unusual to have an open house on a Wednesday evening (Broker’s Caravan is on Tuesday), and it is even more unusual for a home with such a high price tag to have an open house. The result was such a traffic jam and so many complaints from the neighbors that the police shut down the open house. It even made it on the local newscasts the next morning. That is a first. What great publicity for the listing broker.
