I have spent the last few days, like most of the country, watching the effects of Hurricane Irma throughout the State of Florida. It has brought up the topic of our own earthquake preparedness here in the Los Angeles area. Being a long-time Angelino, I have adequate supplies of food, water, batteries, etc. in my home. However, the subject has come up about mobile earthquake preparedness. What happens if an earthquake occurs, and you happen to be 10 miles from home, and the roads are impassible? The answer is…you’re walking home. So, you need a mobile earthquake kit for your car as well! I’m working on mine this week.
