Today is the first day of Summer, and, quite fittingly, we are having our first big heat wave of the year. Fortunately for those of us who reside on the Westside, the ocean breeze keeps our temperatures significantly lower than temperatures in the San Fernando Valley or in the Inland Empire. It is a reminder of how lucky we are to be so close to the coast. Meanwhile, as summer break sets in, we should be coming into the busiest time of the year, as families prefer to relocate during the break from school.
