Labor Day is coming up this weekend, and the year seems to be racing by. I had dinner with my parents this past weekend, and I realized that this was an anniversary weekend of sorts. It was 46 years ago that my father packed our entire family into the car (if my memory serves me right, it was a 1970 Buick Riviera), and we moved from Chicago to Santa Monica. I also remember visiting both Mt. Rushmore and the Grand Canyon on that trip so long ago, and I have never had the opportunity to visit either one since. I think I’m getting old. :)
