This past weekend we experienced our first significant heat spell in a relatively mild summer. I mention this, because one of the advantages of living on the Westside is that the coastal breeze keeps our temperature much more bearable than in other parts of the city. While temperatures climbed past 110° F in the desert and into the 90’s downtown, our temperature on the Westside barely reached past 80° F and didn’t even warrant turning on the A/C. Just one of the reasons I feel very lucky to live so close to the ocean. :)
