Sunday was Mother’s Day, and I had dinner with my mother and father. I mention this, because one of the new listings this week in Pacific Palisades is Ronald Reagan’s old residence. This is where he resided prior to moving to Simi Valley after his terms as president ended. Why do I mention this? Well, I grew up in Pacific Palisades, and I remember my parents’ search for a home in the early seventies. One day we went to look at a home, and my father told us that Ronald Reagan (at the time a former actor and former governor) lived on the same street. My older brother commented that it must be the smallest home on the street. And if my recollection is correct (the year was 1973), in fact, it was the smallest home on the street. Today, forty-three years later, I was able to preview his former home on our Broker’s caravan.
