Income tax filing day was yesterday, so, thankfully, it is now old news. Back on the topic of real estate, there continues to be a very active market. Interest rates remain low, and the local rent market continues to be hot with rentals rates continuing to rise. This has an interesting effect on the entry-level market. As renters see their rents increase, along with continued low interest rates, many are deciding to forgo renting and make their first home purchase. This is creating more activity in sales. We should see this occur throughout the year.
